Kindergarten in Vilnius Newtown, 2017

The shape of the building fills in the plot of land with scrupulous detail leaving the existing Oak trees in the center of attention. Classrooms and other areas are put towards the edges of the building exposing the inner courtyard and thus using the volume of the building to protect children from the noises coming from the roads. The whole building is covered in wood cladding to absorb the sounds coming from the perimeter of the building. And the shape of the roof provide interesting volumes inside the second level of the kindergarten.
