The building consists of three intersecting volumes of different heights. These volumes are shaped according to the local formants - the river, the path and the forest. The volumes with different functions react most strongly to the cycle and pedestrian path on the western side of the site, and are therefore placed in a receding position. The building is visually reduced by this subdivision, creating 'pockets' that organically incorporate the main entrance plaza and the bicycle storage area. This ripple motif is echoed in the façades of the building, with all three volumes at different heights. The middle, connecting volume is the lowest, and the aim is to make it as transparent as possible, to bring it closer to the architectural expression of the pavilion. The gymnasium volume is embedded in the middle volume and its massing is reduced by lowering the floor level to basement level. The third volume, which accommodates the main functions of the building, is two storeys high. The second floor plan also uses the ripple motif already discussed. This softens the silhouette of the third floor as seen from the park. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
